There are no accounts, no forms and no payments on this site, so nothing is collected from you directly. If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote in the message, and nothing more.
Everything else is collected by Google on my behalf through two services:
Analytics tells me which articles people actually read and how they found them, which is what I use to decide what to write next. Advertising helps cover the cost of running the site. That is the whole of it. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to build a profile of you beyond what Google does for its own advertising.
Both services set cookies in your browser. If you are visiting from the EEA or the UK you will see a consent prompt before any of them are set, and nothing non-essential loads until you make a choice. You can change that choice at any time through the same prompt.
Google's own handling of this data is covered by their privacy policy.
Under GDPR, PIPEDA and similar laws you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being collected. Since I hold nothing beyond emails you have sent me, most requests are best directed at Google using the links above. For anything I do hold, just ask and I will sort it out.
